This course provides a simple introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its main concepts, development, and applications. Students will learn what Artificial Intelligence is, how it has developed over time, and the main types and fields of AI. The course also introduces the relationship between Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning, as well as modern AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude. Students will learn the basic principles of prompt engineering and how to use AI models to generate and analyze text, images, and other content. The course also explores the use of AI in economic activities, including data analysis and decision-making, with examples related to public administration and State Budget. Finally, students will learn about the ethical, privacy, security, and human supervision issues related to AI and will apply their knowledge through a simple practical AI project.
